Disney's Port Orleans Riverside
location. disney's port orleans riverside resort is located in lake buena vista, fla. The property is within one mile of epcot and two miles from downtown disney and disney's typhoon lagoon water park. The hotel offers complimentary transportation to all the disney theme parks.
hotel features. located on the sassagoula river, the resort is reminiscent of the heyday of the mississippi river, with a steam boat themed lobby and a huge paddlewheel near boatwright's dining hall. Boatwright's serves southern favorites. For a more casual setting, guests can grab a bite to eat at the riverside mill food court, which is next to a 32 foot wheel that operates a working cotton press. The resort offers six heated pools. One of the pools is on a three acre complex called ol' man island, created to look like an old fashioned fishing hole with rope swings, waterslide and play area. Nearby, fishing holes are stocked for catch and release fun. Guests can also rent bicycles and boats. Romance and fun are available nightly with horse drawn carriage rides throughout the resort. There is also an arcade.

guests of the resort are eligible for complimentary disney's magical express service. Motor coaches take guests from orlando international airport to the resort hotel. What Makes this Hotel Green?
The Florida Green Lodging Program encourages the lodging industry to conserve and protect natural resources. The program currently has over 30 certified properties, with over 100 applicants. Participants must complete an application and commit to environmental improvement. Once eco friendly initiatives are in place, applicants must undergo an on-site audit. Certified hotels must show ongoing progress from year to year to stay in the program.
