The Florida Green Lodging Program encourages the lodging industry to conserve and protect natural resources. The program currently has over 30 certified properties, with over 100 applicants. Participants must complete an application and commit to environmental improvement. Once eco friendly initiatives are in place, applicants must undergo an on-site audit. Certified hotels must show ongoing progress from year to year to stay in the program.
